Program

FRIDAY JULY 8
Doors open at 19:00

Felbm & Louis Reith

Felbm and Louis Reith will explore a mutual predilection they have for the small, the sensitive, and the naive—finding a delicate balance between the organic and the structured, the natural and the technological. The culmination of the residency will be a concert on Friday, July 8th. Also a visual artist, Louis will transform Parlor into a warm living room with selected works on display the entire weekend.

SATURDAY JULY 9
14:00 — 21:00

clïo, PiP, and Joes

We’re taking a sidestep from our usual Sunday go-to’s and instead serve up fresh DJ sets for a special “Saturday Sessions” rendition. Join for shimmering sounds from PiP, hyper-tempos from clïo, and a medley of soundscapes from Joes that bridge weirdo ambient, experimental futuristic, and feel-good pop.

SUNDAY JULY 10
16:00 — 21:00

I, Ear & Body

M I M I and Pippin are joining forces to put together an intimate gathering with the vision of bringing awareness to the body. Get ready to immerse yourself in guided meditations, body work, yoga, and mind-easing sounds, alternated with moments to dance.

FRIDAY APRIL 8
19:00 – 22:00

The Encounter Group

The Encounter Group is Nathan Castelain, Tobin Verdonck, and Brecht van Dingenen, all Ghent-based members with a shared fascination for odd music, old movies, and YouTube rabbit holes. On April 8th, we are excited to present their debut performance, The Subtle Art of Conversation. Join us for an audio-visual conversation that explores synth sounds merged with movie samples. Doors open at 19:00 and the concert will start once it’s dark.

SATURDAY APRIL 9
14:00 – 16:00

Colors as Sounds with Clément Davout

This workshop bridges the disciplines of painting & music, whereby participants create postcards inspired by three tracks selected from the Objects & Sounds catalog. Rather than traditional paints, the material of choice will be flowers and plants, a means of getting away from any known gestures. This applies a tactile approach, which is not meant to be representative, but rather a sensitive evocation of perceived sounds. Each postcard will be the reflection of a soundscape, expressing our varied colored sensations.

SUNDAY APRIL 10
15:00 – 20:00

McBain, Nathan Castelain b2b Mogi & Tobin Verdonck b2b Samouraï

The Encounter Group is back, this time behind the DJ decks. McBain (Brecht Van Dingenen) will be playing an hour of soundtrack music found from the CD collection of Ghent’s public library, while Nathan and Tobin invite Mogi and Samouraï for an easygoing afternoon paired with laidback picks and recent finds.

THURSDAY MAY 5
17:00 – 22:00

We’re happy to host, as long as you bring the music! Bring your own vinyl and play on the open decks whatever fits the mood–krautrock, electro, tornado samples…if it feels right, it feels right. We’ll have the bar open to keep the afternoon going.
